Enhanced Starlight Technology

For challenging low-light applications, Dahua’s Starlight Ultra-low light Technology offers best-in-class light sensitivity, capturing details in low light applications down to 0.005 lux. The camera uses a set of optical features to balance light throughout the scene, resulting in clear images in dark environments.

Perimeter Protection

Dahua Analytics+ includes Tripwire and Intrusion functions that offer custom tripwires based on object type for automation in limited access areas. Perimeter Protection requires fewer pixels to detect an object to deliver improved accuracy and decreased false alarms due to lights, weather, trees, or animals.

Face Detection

Face Detection technology captures a human face in a digital image and then selects the best image and outputs a snapshot of the face.

Upraded Smart Motion Detection+

Upgraded Smart Motion Detection+, a component of Dahua's Analytics+ technology, improves alarm accuracy and decreases the number of false alarms. The advanced SMD+ algorithm analyzes a scene for human or vehicle motion, while f iltering out other motion due to trees, leaves, animals, weather, and triggers an alarm when detected.

Wide Dynamic Range

The camera achieves vivid images, even in the most intense contrast lighting conditions, using industry-leading wide dynamic range (WDR) technology. For applicat ions with both bright and low lighting conditions that change quickly, True WDR (120 dB) optimizes both the bright and dark areas of a scene at the same time to provide usable video.

Auto-tracking

This feature controls the pan/tilt/zoom actions of the camera to automatically track an object in motion and to keep it in the scene. The tracking action can be triggered manually or automatically by defined rules. Once a rule is triggered, the camera can zoom in and track the defined target automatically.

Predictive Focus Algorithm (PFA) Technology 

The camera uses innovative PFA Technology to improve zoom accuracy and to decrease focus time. A series of advanced algorithms more accurately judge the direction and the distance to a subject, improving picture clarity throughout the zooming process.

Smart H.265+ and Smart H.264+

Smart H.265+ is the optimized implementation of the H.265 codec that uses a scene-adaptive encoding strategy, dynamic GOP, dynamic ROI, flexible multiframe reference structure and intelligent noise reduction to deliver high-quality video without straining the network. Smart H.265+ technology reduces bit rate and storage requirements by up to 70% when compared to standard H.265 video compression. Delivering high quality video without straining the network, Smart H.264+ is the optimized implementation of H.264. The Smart H.264+ encoding platform includes a scene adaptive encoding strategy, dynamic GOP, dynamic ROI, flexible multi-frame reference structure and intelligent noise reduction, providing a savings of up to 70% of bandwidth and storage when compared with standard H.264.

ArcticPro (No Heater)

The Dahua ArcticPro Series of extreme-environment cameras combine temperature-tolerant components with a waterproof enclosure to ensure flawless operat ion in temperatures as low as –40° C (–40° F) without the need for an internal heater. The lack of a heater reduces the camera’s power consumption and saves operating costs. For applications that demand high-resolution video with advanced features in extremely cold environments, the Dahua ArcticPro Series offers a camera to satisfy the most demanding requirements.

Environmental

The camera complies with the IK10 Vandal Resistance impact rating making it capable of withstanding the equivalent of 5 kg (11.02 lbs) of force dropped from a height of 40 cm (15.75 in.). Subjected to rigorous dust and water immersion tests and certified to the IP67 Ingress Protection rating makes it suitable for demanding outdoor applications. Supporting dual voltage input (12 VDC or 24 VAC) and a ±25% input voltage tolerance, this camera suits even the most unstable power supply conditions. Its TVS 6000 V lightning rating protects the camera and its structure from the effects of lightning.
